Rosemary Ferguson Gathings is a painter, printmaker, and business owner who graduated from the Mississippi State University School of Fine Art. Rosie sells original work through her business Rosie Hues Fine Art. Her brand name is based on the French phrase ‘La Vie En Rose’ - seeing life through rose (or ‘rosie’)-colored glasses. Her bright works are inspired by today’s modern artists while be influenced by her southern background. Her goal is to capture the vibrance of life through eccentric personalities and exciting still lifes as her subject matter. Rosie works from her studio at her home here in Jackson and is currently being represented by Gallery Orange in New Orleans, Louisiana and Fischer Galleries in Jackson, Mississippi.
